Despite being only 12 miles from downtown Denver, a strong sense of community more akin to rural living still prevails in the Bow Mar real estate market. There are just over 300 single family homes on acre-sized lots, many with spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. Homes in Bow Mar originally echoed Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie-style architecture, placed on wide streets and limited to no more than one story tall. Today, many houses in the area are being updated or replaced with new construction.
Since its 1958 incorporation, Bow Mar has grown into a popular club-like town. Local amenities include the private Bow Mar Lake, where residents sail at the yacht club and enjoy the sandy beach.
