Heidi Finn: Broker Associate

  My Begining:

After graduating university with a bachelor’s degree in International Business, I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work and travel extensively in a constant quest to satisfy my adventurous spirit…eighty-seven countries, all seven continents, living in five foreign countries before returning to the U.S. in 2001. From the chilly hummocks of the Russian tundra to the deep snowy recesses of the Swiss Alps, from the steamy tropical rainforest of the Peruvian Amazon to the golden savannahs of Africa, I truly believe that travel really does broadens one's view of the world.

I came to Colorado after a throwing a dart at a map. I moved here from London, leaving a job with international equity firm to handle Public Relations for NASA’s Cassini-Huygens spacecraft currently orbiting Saturn. I was doing sales for Gulfstream, a private jet manufacturer, when I met the owners of Porchlight while in a fitness ‘bootcamp’. They convinced me to get into real estate (which I absolutely love!) and I’ve been here ever since!

My Passion:
One of my great passions in life is travel.

Experiencing other cultures, meeting new people, seeing the beauty (and sometimes ugliness) of the world has helped me understand that all of our lives are interconnected, yet very individual. My experiences have made me better appreciate my own home and culture, and a much more tolerant person as a result.

I have documented my own personal experiences through a camera lens and have captured scenes and events so others can see the beauty and diversity of the world we live in. As the images of other photographers have inspired me to explore the world, I sincerely hope my own contributions will inspire others to do the same.

My Inspiration:
The tenacity and spirit that often defines my character comes from my grandmother, a journalist, photographer, and single mother of three young girls during World War II. Her stories and experiences empowered me with her spirit of adventure and her belief that absolutely nothing is impossible.
