PorchLight Real Estate Group’s Founders and Leaders Named to The Inman 101

  • Co-Founders Amy and Carol Bayer are the only recipients from Colorado named to this prestigious list
  • Inman News publishes this list of the top 101 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders annually

DENVER, Colo.—Jan. 5, 2016— Impacting positive change in the real estate industry is but one of the criteria for being named to The Inman Top 101, a designation recently awarded to Denver’s PorchLight Real Estate Group co-founders Amy and Carol Bayer. The Bayers are the only Colorado real estate professionals included on this list, which includes heads of brokerages, tech startups, trade groups and others in the real estate sphere.

Inman annually recognizes real estate industry leaders whose ingenuity, strength, conviction, power and persistence are driving change. The Inman 101 includes not only thought leaders, power brokers and deal makers, but also entrepreneurs whose ideas are influencing the way homes are bought and sold. After receiving recommendations and nominations, 400 candidates were considered eligible; extensive vetting decreased the number to 247, then 166. At that point, external input and internal discussion whittled that number down to 101 honorees.

Accompanying the honor, Amy Bayer will speak on two  panels in New York to some 3,000 real estate professionals from throughout the country during Inman Connect. First, she’ll participate in “Next Level One On Ones: Creating Motivation Through Accountability.” There, she’ll share her leadership philosophy and management techniques. On the larger panel, “Company Culture: What is it EXACTLY?” Amy will discuss PorchLight Real Estate Group’s culture, its philosophy of relationship-based business and the successful momentum the philosophy has created in 10 years—making it the seventh largest and one of the  fastest growing real estate company in Colorado.

“A CEO from a company our size has never been asked to be on the main stage before, so this is quite an honor,” said Bayer.  “At PorchLight, it’s never about the sale—it’s about the people, technology, service and training of our agents. It’s gratifying to be recognized for such hard work.”

The Bayers’ selection specifically noted their efforts in making PorchLight different from a traditional brokerage firm. Their modifications to a standard model emphasize education and in-house technology, allowing for improved productivity and quality of life among their agents, as well as increasing referrals. PorchLight provides their agents with continuous coaching, marketing and access to technology and primary research.

“We wanted to design a brokerage firm that gives the client everything we would expect from a real estate broker, offering everything we need from the beginning of a transaction to the end,” Bayer said. “It’s a simple idea that occasionally gets overlooked, but we made it our focus.”

Amy and Carol Bayer co-founded PorchLight in 2005 with a mission to change the way real estate was bought and sold. Addressing a need for a more personalized, comprehensive approach, PorchLight’s 150 agents take a people-centered approach, which is 100% relationship-driven.

“We are honored to receive such a prestigious distinction,” Carol Bayer said. “This will only add to our motivation to create a better agent and a better product.”

Amy Bayer will address the Inman Connect conference in New York City along with renowned speakers and authors from around the country—including keynote speaker Seth Godin. Inman Connect takes place January 26 – 29, 2016.
