PorchLight Top Five For Fifth Year

The Denver Post Names PorchLight Real Estate Group to Top Workplaces for Fifth Consecutive Year

DENVER, CO ::  April 20, 2018—For the fifth year in a row, PorchLight Real Estate Group has been awarded a Top Workplaces honor by The Denver Post and placed in the top five of their size bracket. This year, the company was ranked number three on the elite list of midsize employers (150 – 499 employees). The designation was published in a supplement to The Denver Post on April 20th, which also honored PorchLight with a special “Training” award.

The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics) a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. Energage invited 1,644 nominated companies in the Denver Metro area to participate. Out of those, 226 were surveyed for possible inclusion in the Top Workplaces list. The employee survey included 24 questions covering job-specific topics covering training, work/life balance, management interaction, and pay and benefits; and organizational health factors like where the company is headed, how the company is pursuing its goals, and how valued and important employees feel.

“To be honored with this award for a fifth year is truly awesome,” PorchLight co-founder and CEO Amy Bayer said. “We’ve spent those years dedicated to ambitious and smart growth. We’re so proud we’ve been able to maintain a collaborative and supportive environment while also making big and bold moves as a company.”

PorchLight’s dedication to smart growth has included several of those big moves in recent months, including the opening of their first office in Boulder. The company partnered with Jay Hebb, a Boulder resident and real estate professional with deep industry expertise to open the office at 2500 Broadway earlier this year. Late in 2017, PorchLight also promoted then-Managing Broker Heather Heuer to be the President & Employing Broker of PorchLight’s Denver offices, and hired Christina Ortiz Bluth as Chief Operating Officer for the entire company.

In addition to its #3 ranking, PorchLight was given a special award for “Training.” The Post gave out 15 of these awards based on outstanding employee responses in various categories. Collaboration was a common theme in the employee comments, with one PorchLight employee saying, “I absolutely love the sense of community. From veteran agents to new licensees, everyone embraces each other with support. It is a place of encouragement and sharing. The drive to keep and hold to a professional standard and perform to the highest level of services is unparalleled in the industry.”
