I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, land of the six-month winter. It was my desire to see the sun more often that led me to Colorado — that and a job offer in my then-field of consulting. But after spending several years in the business, my penchant for the nine to five was fading fast. The words, “do what you love and you will always be happy” ruminated in my ear — ironically words from a lecture put on by a job I didn’t love.
At the time, I was looking to buy my first home, and I spent my free time studying real estate and burying my nose in-house magazines. After countless Saturdays spent driving around the city looking for open houses, and the love-a-first-sight relationship I eventually found with my home in the Highlands area, a real estate career was born. I finally found my true passion.
For the past ten years I have been buying and selling in the Denver area, and over time, I have be-come a Denver neighborhood expert. I gather information the old-fashioned way: I eat at the local restaurants, find the little-hidden secrets in each neighborhood, frequent the many parks around Denver with my dog, as well as studying market trends, architectural styles, and keeping well informed of the Denver housing market. It’s this information, along with a dogged desire to match my clients with their specific property needs, that makes me a valuable person to have in one’s corner. I maximize time by concentrating only on the properties that best fit your spoken and unspoken needs — from layout to price range to walking distance to the nearest organic bakery. With sellers, I realize the investment ramifications of their sale, keep tempo with our changing economic climate, and offer marketing options that are second to none that I have access to through PorchLight Real Estate Group.
I dive head first into each client, and get as excited as they do with the purchase or sale of a home, taking personal care and ownership over each transaction. Buying a house is like getting married. Cold feet are okay but if you’re not ready to walk down the aisle then you need to keep looking — and I understand that the process takes time. Selling a home is like giving your journals over to a stranger — it hurts a little. Housing decisions aren’t just business, they’re personal. That being said, it’s important to me to help people make smart and financially sound housing decisions. So while I have an eye for envisioning a diamond in the rough, I know when to walk away from a property that might financially drain my client.
My greatest real estate accomplishment is that I have been named a 5280 Five Star Agent Award Winner every year since 2010. It is such a compliment to be nominated by my clients for such an honor. My clients have supported my business and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
I have seen it all in my career: all of the emotion, the financial strategies, the disappointments, and excitement. I know the intricacies that go into the real estate process, and it’s my job to iron it all out into a smooth transaction — a job I am proud to say I do well. I am a Certified Negotiations expert, and I use these skills on a daily basis. Add to that my continuing education in marketing, my knowledge of the Denver area, and my diligence as your representative, and you’ll start to get a picture of what I stand for: the right house, at the right price, for the right person.
"We could not be more grateful that we had Anne Singleton to represent us in buying our new home. It was a complex purchase and we couldn't have made it happen without Anne's expertise and persistence. She was on top of everything. She's reliable and resourceful, and an expert in the local market. She was a great communicator throughout the process and made us feel like we were her only priority. Anne ALWAYS had our best interest in mind from day one and went above and beyond in more ways than we thought possible. There is no one that we would rather have on our side when buying or selling a home. If you want the best, Anne is it!"
"In 2009 Anne helped me purchase my townhome and had great experience so when looking to sell, she was my first call. It was the best decision I could have made with the attention, service and speed in which she was able to handle the sale of my home.
My situation was unique in that I now live in California and was selling my rental in Colorado. There was a tenant moving out, repairs that needed to be made, installation of new appliances and other small issues from it being a rental the last 5 years. Anne handled EVERYTHING from scheduling handymen/repairs, being there for installations, ensuring everything was handled and looking top notch.
Then came the staging, photography and listing which, including all repairs, was done within 3 weeks! During the entire process, from tenants moving out to signed contracts I never had to travel back to Colorado to handle a single detail which is incredible.
Her attention to detail and help getting everything perfect, including correct listing price, helped me to have an accepted offer in 4 days for asking price!
Anne is amazing in her customer service, responsiveness and going the extra mile to make sure things are handled and done right. If you are looking to buy or sell I couldn't imagine someone better to be your partner through it."
"Anne has helped me both both sell and buy a home. She works harder, smarter and more efficiently than any agent I have ever met. My last purchase was not a typical transaction and she helped me navigate all the details and unusual requirements, while also quickly preparing my last home to be put on the market. She has an amazing ability to assess the needs and preferences of her clients, which, for me, has made the process of buying and selling a house much easier. I trust and recommend Anne for buying or selling any home."
"Anne Singleton is a fabulous realtor! She recently helped us buy our new home in the Denver Highlands area. Anne is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and was able to give us all of the information we needed to make all of those huge decisions along the way. She helped us negotiate a counter-offer and made sure to include the details that mattered to us in our contract. We needed a fast close and Anne recommended an amazing mortgage broker who had us ready to close in just a few weeks. Anne was calm, cool, and collected as problems arose in the inspection and with the HOA. She eased our fears, fought for us every step of the way, and solved each and every issue with ease. I have already recommended Anne to some of my best friends moving to the area and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a true expert in the Denver real estate market!"
Our Certified Market Expert designation is the only one of its kind. Agents choose from three area-specific certifications—Central Denver, South Suburbs or North Suburbs—and become experts in that area.
Agents who earn this elite designation have not only completed our Market Ed courses—learning the ins and outs of their specialty area's cities and neighborhoods—but they've previewed dozens of homes in each area, giving them an insider's perspective on the nooks and crannies of the metro Denver area. They know what kind of architecture each area offers, and also know the special restaurants, shops, and attractions that make each neighborhood unique.
When you choose an agent with one or more CME designations, you know you're getting a trusted advisor who will guide you in making the smartest real estate investment possible while also finding the community that's the right fit for you.
