Coming from the mid-west, seeing mountains, playing in the Garden of the Gods near my relative’s house for the first time, was inspiring at an early age for me. When I was 6 years old, I remember thinking, “One day, I’m going to live here!” That place happened to be Denver, instead of Colorado Springs, many years later, but the joy and excitement that I had when I first experienced Colorado as a child, I still hold in my heart today. I relish everything this incredible city and state has to offer. I’m an avid outdoor enthusiast and love skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping and pretty much anything having to do with the great outdoors. Simply hanging out in my backyard on a summer evening, watching the sunset can be a thrill. There is no other greater place to live than Colorado!
I’ve lived in Denver for over 22 years and know each neighborhood and the western areas, Wheat Ridge, Applewood, Golden, like the back of my hand. Every neighborhood from Washington Park to the foothills has nuances that are specific to that area or type of house, whether it be an older classic, newer modern, or something in between. Maybe closer to parks, trails and outdoor activities, more convenient to schools, work or light rail, are important. Whatever, it is, listening to what a buyer is looking for, educating them along the way, committing to finding the best possible fit in a home and neighborhood that they feel happy and excited to come home to is what I want most for my buyers, and strive for. Let me show you what each neighborhood offers so I can help you find the perfect place to call YOUR home.
My college education is a BFA with an emphasis in Art History. I sold fine art for many years before I ventured into real estate. I bought my first home when I was 25, have lived in Congress Park, Mayfair, Sloan’s Lake, Highlands, Steamboat Springs, Sunnyside, and now, in Lakewood, closer to the foothills and trails with an incredible city skyline view from my backyard. I consider myself and “urban farmer” with a huge lot, country-like living, neighbors with horses and chickens in my own backyard. I love my home and want to help you find the best place to fall in love with, too.
My background has been in sales and marketing for over 25 years. I have sold real estate professionally for 14 of them, so when it comes time to list your house, you know you are getting an experienced agent who knows what it takes to make your house show the best, price it correctly, market it effectively, and find the next owner. Call me to schedule a 20 minute walk through, so I can show you what kind of excellent services I provide and enable your home to sell quickly for the highest price possible.
"I was really nervous about buying a house in the current market but Mary was great about going to a bunch of houses with us knowing that we’d be in a lot of competition with other buyers. She also made herself available on very short notice in order to see houses quickly as they came on the market. I really liked the staging and cleaning service that PorchLight provides, it helped get us top dollar. 10 out of 10"
"Working with Mary was amazing! We believe, if not for her guidance, our home would not have sold for what it did ($40,000 over asking price.) We were shocked. We ended up getting 29 offers! She did a great job at promoting our house! We had access to all of Mary’s staff. We could call/e-mail anyone with questions or problems. I would not think twice about referring anyone to PorchLight to sell or buy a home. Everyone did an excellent job. - 10 out of 10"
"We felt very comfortable with Mary. We had some issues with our builder and we felt that Mary fought hard for us to make things right, even after the deal had closed. - 10 out of 10"
Our Certified Market Expert designation is the only one of its kind. Agents choose from three area-specific certifications—Central Denver, South Suburbs or North Suburbs—and become experts in that area.
Agents who earn this elite designation have not only completed our Market Ed courses—learning the ins and outs of their specialty area's cities and neighborhoods—but they've previewed dozens of homes in each area, giving them an insider's perspective on the nooks and crannies of the metro Denver area. They know what kind of architecture each area offers, and also know the special restaurants, shops, and attractions that make each neighborhood unique.
When you choose an agent with one or more CME designations, you know you're getting a trusted advisor who will guide you in making the smartest real estate investment possible while also finding the community that's the right fit for you.
