(The seller was trying to initially rush the sale so they wouldn't need to fix it.) It was a bitter sweet experience to close on the house because we were so excited about the house but a bit sad that our daily correspondences with Nikki were over. "This is what a real estate agent is supposed to be. We purchased our third home (first in Denver) with Nikki Wiederaenders at Porchlight. "I will preface this by saying our situation was an anomaly and shouldn't have been this easy, hearing so many horror stories from friends regarding their home-buying journeys. By chance, we happened upon Nikki Wiederanders at a random open house. On the following Saturday she invited us on a market education tour, so we could get to know the different areas of Denver and where our money would take us. It was made clear from the first hour that Nikki knew what she was talking about. Every part of town we went she seemed to know every bus route and train schedule (my wife uses an eco-pass for work, and all the homes she showed us were within 20 minutes of her job).
By chance that day, Nikki took us to a gorgeous little ranch style house that was outdated and not at all what we were looking for. We couldn't stop thinking about this seemingly perfect little house, and Nikki suggested we go back the next day to take a closer look and compare to other properties in the area. She showed us three other places first, and then we went back to the house. We made an offer, and the checklist of items to be completed was made seamless from that day on. It helps to be in the know, especially as a first time buyer.
Between Nikki and our broker, my anxiety was at an all-time low throughout this entire process. Nikki kept calm and was always professional, albeit excited to be on this journey with us, and held our hands as much as we needed.
