My Real Estate Philosophy:
I find the most important aspect of buying or selling real estate is truly educating the client. The more the client understands and gains market knowledge through my expertise the more rewarding and successful experience they will enjoy. After that the seller gains confidence in pricing their home and the buyers recognize a good “buy” when it becomes available. After graduating from Colorado State University in 1980 with a degree in Finance and Real Estate, I began my fifteen year career in commercial real estate focusing specifically on office leasing and sales in Denver, Colorado. In 1995 I formed, Shannon Equities, Inc. which specialized in real estate sales and development, completing numerous condominium conversions along with multiple land development projects. Some of the more notable ones are: 110 units in The Lido at 8th & Washington, 120 units in Hunter’s Hill at Yosemite & Dry Creek, Pole Creek Preserve in the Fraser Valley near Winter Park and Winter Glen in Winter Park, Colorado. From 2003 to 2009, Shannon was a vice president and regional wholesaler for Dividend Capital Exchange, a leading Tenant In Common Sponsor offering a unique IRC 1031 tax deferred real estate product. During that time period Dividend Capital Exchange raised over $400 million in equity, sponsoring over 42 individual properties and completing over 570 individual transactions.
An avid skier and biker, I welcome the opportunity to get outdoors anytime occasionally golfing or fishing for a change of pace. My wife Jacki and I live in Bonnie Brae and we have two kids attending college.
