Welcome to Hampden South
Perched along the southeast edge of Denver lies the sprawling neighborhood of Hampden South. Like its direct neighbor to the north, Hampden, Hampden South was largely farmland before it was developed as a commuter community in the 1970s. As the Denver Tech Center was established and began to grow just south of the neighborhood, it became an even more popular area, providing residents easy access to both the DTC and downtown Denver without sacrificing the suburban feel.
There are a variety of homes to be found here, ranging from condos offering great amenities, to both original and totally remodeled ranches and split-levels. Lots are generously sized, with big back yards and mature landscaping, but the houses remain relatively close together, lending a stronger sense of community. The neighborhood boasts four parks—Southmoor, Eastmoor, Rosamond and GM Wallace—and Goldsmith Gulch and its accompanying trail run through the middle, providing ample recreational opportunities.
The neighborhood is bordered by Hampden to the north, Yosemite to the east, Belleview to the south and I-25 to the west. Hampden offers up a slew of restaurants and retail including grocery stores, fast casual dining options, and a movie theater. Just south, in the DTC area, more dining and shopping can be found as the commercial takes over from the residential. While quiet, house-lined streets largely comprise the interior of the neighborhood, its location and surrounding areas make it a convenient place to call home.
