Welcome to LoHi
Also called Highland or East Highland, LoHi (short for Lower Highland), has become a hot spot for restaurants, retail shops and young professional singles and families to call home. The neighborhood, officially located between 38th Avenue, Speer, Zuni, and the Platte River, is just across the highway from Downtown Denver. Some of the streets remain on the original "Downtown Grid," so the area serves as a type of urban extension.
The diverse and eclectic neighborhood is one of the most inclusive in all of Denver, even as property values are increasing rapidly—but real estate suitable for any budget can be easily found via virtual tours, available on the public MLS. There you can peek inside LoHi homes for sale, which comprise newer lofts, condos and townhouses that have largely replaced the older original buildings.
LoHi attracts funky, independent shops and boutiques and active residents who love being in the center of the city, but still enjoy the sanctuary of home. Live here and you’ll enjoy the convenience of everything it offers. The Highlands Bridge—a pedestrian overpass—connects the area to Riverfront and LoDo, while local grocers, trendy restaurants, and a liberal sprinkling of remaining historic buildings and homes retain a community feel.
