A pleasant surprise.
Welcome to University Hills
This triangular neighborhood is between the bending I-25, the north-south Colorado Boulevard, and the east-west Hampden Avenue/Highway 285. With commercial streets buzzing on its face, it’s surprising to discover that this area is actually quite residential and caters to both urban and suburban tastes.
Charming and well-kept single-family dwellings line the borders of Mamie Dodd Eisenhower Park, a multi-block area with tennis courts, soccer fields, an outdoor pool, a playground, and a rec center. Just across the street lies the public Wellshire golf course, an especially inviting amenity with its cottonwood trees, historic clubhouse, and spacious green. Residents benefit from quick I-25-access and Hampden/Highway 285, which can take outdoor enthusiasts straight to the Rockies. In addition, University Hills boasts a public library, a nearby post office, and a string of restaurants, supermarkets, ethnic eateries, home improvement stores, sports retailers, and furniture gallerias along Colorado Boulevard.
Don’t miss the shopping centers between Yale and Amherst. Do some grocery shopping, grab a bite to eat, and see an independent film at Chez Artiste.
