Welcome to Louisville
Located between Broomfield and Boulder along the Denver-Boulder Turnpike, the city of Louisville combines Old West charm and modern-day convenience to offer residents a small town with all of the amenities of a larger one. A rec/senior center, 26 city parks, and 26 miles of trails and bicycle paths provide plenty of recreational opportunities, while the award-winning public library boasts study rooms, a fireside reading room, and one of the highest circulation rates in Colorado.
The town dates back to the late 1800s, when it served as home base for workers in the dozen mines that also called the area home. The remnants of those coal mines are gone now, replaced with suburban homes surrounding a charming historic downtown strip of unique shops and restaurants.
Money magazine has twice dubbed the city the “Best Place to Live” in America, citing its climate, low crime rates, job opportunities, thriving businesses, and access to world-class outdoor recreation. Homes here range from Old Town bungalows to modern condos to golf course estates.
